Hasegawa 07233 1/48 A-4M Skyhawk

Purpose-built for the United States Marines, the M featured a more powerful engine, more advanced avionics, and better pilot visibility thanks to a redesigned canopy.

This kit builds into a later M, with the pod on top of the vertical stabilizer and all the bumps and antennas around the nose and exhaust. Markings for two aircraft are included, both hi-vis, one from VMA-331 "Bumblebees" with a striking black and yellow rudder and vertical stab, and one from possibly the most famous Marine squadron, VMA-214 "Blacksheep", made legendary by Pappy Boyington and his band of misfits in WW II. Of course, Pappy never flew a Super Scooter, if he had he would have had more than 28 kills!
